1. All rental applications must be approved by the Mayor or his/her designee. This application or receipt must be always kept available during the event and presented to City officials upon request.

2.  Any individual or group wishing to rent the Mayflower Community Center must complete the Rental Application and tender the required deposit of $150. The return of deposits must be approved by the Mayor or his/her designee upon a successful inspection of facilities after the rental period is over.

3.  Returned checks will be subject to a $35 fee and may be prosecuted by the Mayflower Prosecuting Attorney.

4.  All individuals and groups are expected to be familiar with and shall obey all federal, state, and local laws during their use of city facilities, including regulations of alcohol, gambling, firearms, food / beverage service, and excessive noise.

5.  Individuals and groups renting facilities shall not interfere with or disturb property owned by the city or any Senior Center employees, including file cabinets, computers, personal property, or other equipment items.

6.  Animals and livestock are prohibited from the Community Center, except for trained service animals. Athletic matches or contests involving fighting or physical contact such as boxing, wrestling, arm wrestling, etc.; or events involving the use of deadly weapons, or open flames are prohibited.

7.  Renter shall be responsible for reasonable cleanup of all spaces rented, including kitchen, parking, and restroom facilities or forfeit deposit.

8.  Individuals and groups causing damage to the facility shall be subject to multiple degrees of sanctions including 1) forfeiture of damage deposit, 2) ban from future rentals, 3) civil damages, 4) criminal prosecution.

9.  The responsible party understands and agrees that the City of Mayflower shall not be responsible for any acts of negligence, personal injuries or property damages incurred while the rental period. The responsible party releases the City of Mayflower and its employees from all forms of liability for damages and/or injuries.

10.  Glitter or confetti are not permitted.

11.  No smoking inside building.        

12.  No early arrivals for setup or staging are permitted unless pre-approved by the City.

13.  Renter shall have the property vacated and cleaned by the end of the rental period. Cleanup and loading time after the rental period may result in deposit revocation.
