Fire Prevention Inspections

The Mayflower Fire Marshal’s office is tasked with completing annual fire prevention inspections in all commercial occupancies and all occupancies open to the general public.  The Arkansas Fire Prevention Code (Vol. 1), Chapter 1, Part 2 provides both the authority and requirement for the Mayflower Fire Department to complete fire prevention inspections.

If you are a business owner within the Mayflower Fire District (city and county) you will be contacted every 1-2 years to arrange for a fire prevention inspection.  If you wish to have one conducted more frequently you may request one at any time.  Annual inspections are provided for at no cost but the results are binding and any deficiencies are required to be fixed.
